She looks for plain-language policies, discreet billing where offered, and whether you can use the service without handing over more personal data than necessary. She marks products down when deletion is hard to verify, policies stay vague, or payment and identity requirements feel excessive for the features you get.
I mark a tool down when the deletion path is vague, the billing descriptor is needlessly exposing, the terms leave too much room around stored content, or the account settings make basic privacy choices harder than they should be.
I start with what a user can learn without digging: sign-up friction, what data is requested, and whether the account area plainly explains retention and deletion. If the basics are murky, deeper review usually gets worse, not better.
Absolutely. A capable tool can still create avoidable risk if billing is not discreet or if cancellation and deletion are harder to find than they should be. On this site, that is not a footnote; it affects the verdict.
